How do you convey the impact of 19 people who traveled 18,000 miles to touch the lives of Kenyans, who brought medical supplies, a defibulator, hundreds of t-shirts, school uniforms, books, toys, etc.? Our deepest thanks to you who donated most of these items (both in the US and in the Philippines).
Our time in Kitale, Kenya (East Africa) included five medical outreaches to more than 1500 people—three of whom, reported Sister Freda, would have expired had we not been there. Says Harold, “Never will I forget the plaintive wail of a baby whose unconscious sleep—probably the effects of malaria--was awakened by an IV, the tiny orphan girl with crossed eyes, who looked age two but was about age 5, whom Sister Freda brought home from a squatter’s area and adopted, or the joy that caused hundreds to smile—children and adults alike—when were able to give the gift of love as well as help for their needs.”
Darlene and Harold both experienced very satisfying personal ministry doing live radio on Radio Imani, family conferences, services at the Deliverance Church and in the Women’s Prison (Darlene did this one) where the Chaplain praised the impact of her books for women.
We invite you to network with us, giving $50 a month to enable a homeless child to go to school, have uniforms, and have a safe and comfortable home with three meals, or enable Sister Freda to touch the lives of many through her outreach featured in Darlene’s book HEART OF COMPASSION; HANDS OF CARE.
Thanks for helping to change the world one person at a time! What you can do, whether small or large, makes a difference in someone’s life.
