What is Guidelines?

Guidelines is a Christian ministry that began in 1963 in response to Harold and Darlene Sala’s desire to spread the Good News of the Gospel. Guidelines is a non-profit organization that reaches out to communicate the message of Jesus Christ in such a manner that men and women come to faith in the Lord and believers are discipled and strengthened.

Many methods are used to do this including radio, the Internet, books and publications, seminars and conferences as well as support for missions around the world.

REACHING people with radio, Internet and publications

RADIO is one of the most cost-effective means of communicating the Gospel. Radio broadcasts are not stopped by political borders or even illiteracy. Harold Sala’s program “Guidelines – A Five-Minute Commentary on Living” is currently being aired on more than 1,000 stations around the world in over 15 languages!

INTERNET is an important part of our ministry. Guidelines’ web site, guidelines.org, averages 1,000 visits daily! “Guidelines – A Five-Minute Commentary on Living” daily transcripts are available by month in several languages. There are also features such as ministry highlights, For Women Only and more. A bookstore offering Harold and Darlene’s books is available for convenient and secure ordering.

PUBLICATIONS are continually being translated into other languages. Harold and Darlene Sala have authored over 40 books in English. Most of them are also available in other languages such as Korean, Spanish, Burmese, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese and more! These books have been an encouragement and wonderful source for spiritual growth for people around the world.

TEACHING people through seminars and conferences

Harold and Darlene are involved in teaching biblical principles of family living and training men and women for ministry all over the world. China, the Philippines, Russia and Ukraine are frequent destinations, where they minister to groups including singles, couples, parents, pastors, missionaries and business people.

TOUCHING people through others

Through generous donors, Guidelines is able to support pastors and churches, bible schools and children’s shelters in remote areas of the world such as Siberia, Ukraine, Russia, the Philippines and Africa.

Guidelines outreach touches people’s lives where help is desperately needed.
