Broadcasting Hope During Coronavirus

The effects of COVID-19 have been devastating on countries around the world, and it will get worse before it gets better.

As death tolls rise and entire countries are quarantined, many people are suffering from fear, anxiety, and depression.

But even as churches may be closed down around the world, God is still revealing His love to people in their times of despair. The Gospel cannot be quarantined – it is being sent out on radio and internet all over the globe.

We work together with broadcast partners in China to share our devotionals. Here’s a report they sent us:

During this epidemic, many have turned to Christ, at least in China that I know of. They found salvation in hopelessness. Our statistics did show an increase in our web clicks. People are spending more time searching for spiritual food online when they are being locked down at home.

As people are being confined to their homes, they are turning to the radio and internet to fill their time. This restriction actually opens up an opportunity for them to hear the message of Jesus because they’re searching for hope.

In Mongolia, our broadcast partners WIND FM shared the same observation:

Radio broadcasts are even more conducive in situations like this.

People all over the world are searching for hope and peace. Now more than ever, they have time freed up to hear and are opening up their hearts to receive.

And now more than ever, we need to loudly proclaim that God is our strength, our joy, and our peace.

Here’s how we’re doing it:

  • We’ve created a Resources page to help people during this time, which will be updated regularly.
  • We’re creating more devotional videos to help bring the presence of Jesus on YouTube.
  • We’ll continue broadcasting our daily devotionals by radio and internet all over the world to share a message of hope and peace.

This is a critical time to be a light to the world. Thank you for standing with us.
