Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and give him the name that is above every name. Philippians 2:9

Try dropping the Name of Jesus at your next work social event. And I don’t mean as a cuss word. Because you can talk about “God,” or say that you’re a “person of faith” or that you’re “spiritual,” without offending many people. But please, keep Jesus to yourself.
The name of Jesus had a polarizing effect on people in New Testament days. When Peter and John brought healing to a lame man, this time it was the religious leaders who were up in arms. They questioned, “By whose power or what name did you do this?” Peter answered clearly and boldly, “It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed” (Acts 4:10). “What should we do with these men?” the religious leaders asked themselves. “We must warn them not to speak to anyone in Jesus’ name again” (Acts 4:16-17).
Pastor Jim Cymbala, of Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York says, “More and more now in churches and elsewhere, the name of Jesus is being dropped out. It’s God. God changed my life. No,” Cymbala says, “It’s Jesus who changed your life. Muslims believe in god. Hindus have thousands of gods. Even ‘lord’ is used by Hare Krishnas. No, what makes us different is the name of Jesus!”
The God of the Bible is the God of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. JESUS. Follower of Jesus, has the name of Jesus gone missing from your conversation?
