Guidelines Launches Broadcast to Reach North Korea

Guidelines International announced the launch of broadcasts of its audio devotionals reaching listeners in North Korea. Beginning the week of March 29, 2026, devotional programs translated from Guidelines’ Reset with Bonnie Sala will air in Korean, delivering Scripture-based encouragement to listeners in a region where access to Christian teaching, Bibles, churches and all outside media is forbidden.

The initiative is produced in partnership with Trans World Radio (TWR), one of the world’s foremost Christian broadcasting organizations. Each episode has been curated for a North Korean audience and will be broadcast via shortwave from an undisclosed location.

Less than 2% of North Korea’s 26 million people are Evangelical Christians. An estimated 200,000 to 400,000 live out their faith in secret (Joshua Project) with shortwave radio as one of the only ways to deliver spiritual encouragement into one of the most difficult countries to reach on earth.

“We are grateful for God’s amazing timing of this project,” said Bonnie Sala, Guidelines International President and CEO. “This past year broadcasts into North Korea by democracy-forward governments were cut by 80%. Hundreds, if not millions are listening in secret and the underground church is crying out, ‘We are still here!’  These broadcasts are our answer to that cry. Through the miracle of shortwave radio, we are bringing the gospel where it is nearly impossible to go.”
