All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Some people have photographic memories.  But not many of us.

The vast majority of people with photographic memories are children!  Between 2 to 10 percent of preadolescents have been identified as having this special gift.[1] It’s more likely though that you immediately forget most of what you read. There’s one book, however, that will change you in ways you’ll never forget.

It’s called the Bible, or God’s Word. God was so determined to reveal Himself to you that He arranged text written over a thousand years, authored by dozens of people in multiple languages, to speak to you today. What’s the Bible good for?  Of itself it says: “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16,17).

It also tells us what God is like (Exodus 34:6-7), how to talk with Him (Luke 1:1-4), shows us His love and how to have relationship with Him (I John 4:7-8, John 3:16) Most incredibly, it changes us because God uses it to speak personally to us through His Spirit.

When you take in God’s living words of wisdom and love, slow down and ask God, line by line, what His Word is saying. If you want it to change your life, make interacting with it a daily conversation with God. He’s waiting for you to come in close for a visit you won’t forget today.
