Some people describe it as God speaking the language of their heart—it’s those small, deeply personal moments that feel too specific to be a coincidence.
Renee heard God speak the language of her heart during a hard season of illness. A woman she had only met twice arranged for a care package, filled with small comforts, to be delivered to her home. A friend in another country she hadn’t spoken to in years sent flowers. Her neighbor crocheted a small heart and left it at her door, to say she was sending a hug.
None of them could have known exactly what their gesture would mean to Renee, but God did. “I felt God gently reminding me: ‘I know you. I see you. I am here,’“ Renee shared.
The Bible book of Psalms puts it this way: “O LORD, you have searched me and known me” (Psalm 139:1 ESV). Not simply that God knows about us. He knows us: what encourages us, what comforts us, what makes us feel cared for, and what reaches the quiet places in our hearts that no one else can see.
These moments aren’t random. They’re handfuls of grace from a God who knows you personally enough to time them exactly right. Maybe today you’re wondering if anyone truly sees what you’re carrying. Watch for the next one.
Maybe you’re also the one God wants to use: a phone call you feel prompted to make, a card, a meal, a small kindness that seems tiny to you but is exactly what someone else needs today. You may never know how perfectly timed it turns out to be.
So, keep listening. He’s still saying, “I know you. I see you. I am here,” spoken exactly the way your heart needs to hear it.
