I cried out, ‘I am slipping!’ but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:18-19
Have you ever had a day when life seemed to fall apart all at once?
Daniel had always been the provider for his family, but one terrible week, everything seemed to collapse. First, he lost his job after his company downsized. Then, an argument with his brother caused a rift in his closest relationship. As if that wasn’t enough, his best friend moved to another country for work, leaving Daniel feeling isolated. Suddenly, the life he’d relied on felt like it was slipping away.
It’s easy to feel lost in moments like these, searching for answers or relief. Some people turn to horoscopes, superstitions, or strangers for guidance. But deep down, what we’re really longing for is something solid—something unshakable that can guide us back onto firm ground.
Thousands of years ago, someone else felt that way too. In the Bible book of Psalms, we read, “I cried out, ‘I am slipping!’ but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer” (Psalms 94:18-19).
We all face times when friends, family, or jobs can fail us. In a matter of moments, the security we thought we had can vanish. But God’s love is constant—it will never fail. Even in the darkest times, Jesus wants to support you. When doubts and fears take over, His comfort cuts through the noise and brings you back to hope.
Instead of floundering, open your Bible and start a conversation with Jesus. Ask His Holy Spirit to speak comfort and guidance to you. God speaks through scripture, through godly people around you, and directly to your heart. Keep worshiping and waiting on God. Let insecurity lead you to the One Who keeps on loving you.
