Jesus taught His followers that a consistent walk of faith
flows from a committed relationship with God (Matthew 6:19–34). We are also
called to consistently meet with other believers to encourage one another,
dedicate ourselves to the Word of God, and fellowship in the body of Christ
(Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:46, Acts 2:42).
But what do you do if you are a new believer living where
there are no other Christians and no Christian resources? Here’s what one
Guidelines listener shared:
I’m a new believer in Christ and I can’t go to church. I can’t keep a Bible in my home or any other Christian book. My husband is a Muslim and he is a very angry man. I’m so thankful for your programs on the radio. These programs have encouraged me in moments of despair when I didn’t want to live.
Through the programs, the Lord has given me the strength and wisdom to go through many storms in my life. I remember one day my husband was very violent to my son and me because of our faith. He kept us isolated for days. In those moments, the messages from the radio gave my spirit hope and strength.
God is good and I continue to pray to Him. I thank God for brothers and sisters like you.
For new believers, Guidelines’ daily devotionals are an essential source of hope and encouragement in their faith as they grow in their relationship with God. The radio devotionals also become their connection to you, their brothers and sisters in Christ worldwide.
And for those who are still coming to faith, daily messages are necessary for their journey. Every message is a means of salvation, because the next devotional they hear could be the one that changes everything.
