Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. Deuteronomy 31:8
Have you had a radical encounter with God?
When it comes to relationship with God, some people share about the exact moment in time they came to the end of themselves and turned to Jesus, but for most people, the story may not be so much about a moment as a process.
God created a world that unfolds like a story. An acorn becomes a seedling, a seedling becomes a young sapling, and one day, that sapling becomes a great oak tree. What was the moment the acorn became a tree? It’s hard to pinpoint one moment. It was a process.
God loves working in our lives through process. He cares about the nuance and detail, the little lessons, the journeys of learning and healing, growing and transforming. He doesn’t just want to see your life’s before and after pictures- He wants to walk with you on the way.
Where are you on your faith journey today? Perhaps today is the day you commit to following Jesus for the first time, admitting you’re a sinner, and asking for His forgiveness and guidance. Maybe you’ve walked with Him for decades, and today, you seek His voice to comfort or encourage you. Wherever you are, Jesus says that this day matters to Him. He’s here for your story, unfolding page by page, moment by moment.
The Bible book of Deuteronomy says, “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you” (Deuteronomy 31:8). When you follow Jesus, this promise is yours. Talk to God about what’s happening in your life now. He wants to meet and walk with you in the messy, mundane process!
