So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34

If you had a choice, where would you live? In the past, the present, or the future?

Théo had big plans: study abroad, start a business, build a new life. But political changes in his country shut those doors overnight. For months, he couldn’t stop replaying what could have been—or fearing what might happen next. Meanwhile, the days slipped by, unlived.

Maybe you’ve felt that too—stuck between what you’ve lost and what you fear. The Bible reminds us that today is the only time we’re guaranteed, saying “Today is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). God doesn’t tell us to ignore tomorrow because wise choices today prepare for a better tomorrow. If we neglect our health, finances, or relationships—we’ll feel it later. He does say, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today” (Matthew 6:34). No, uncertainty over the future doesn’t have to control us. Jesus invites us to live now. To trust Him now. To hope now.

The Bible says, “Look here, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town…’ How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone” (James 4:13-14). But there’s good news for Théo and for you: God says, “Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass” (Isaiah 46:10). And God always has your good in mind. God’s promises shine over tomorrow. Grace covers yesterday. Strength fills today. And hope lights tomorrow.
