He was given authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal—it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed. Daniel 7:14

Ever been in a situation filled with so much turmoil, you wondered how you could go on?

Emily and her husband are raising small children in a volatile country with an unpredictable future. Every day, the power goes on and off, the value of money drops further and looting and violence have become the norm.

Maybe your world isn’t quite this volatile but no doubt, some sort of turmoil disrupts the stability and peace you crave. It’s easy to spiral, looking for an escape. It’s easy to think that if we only lived in a particular place or earned a certain amount of money, all those fears and worries would melt away. But wherever you are, God wants to meet you there. And He wants to use you to bring an everlasting heavenly kingdom into our shaky world.

This is the comfort that God gives. Jesus told His followers in the Bible book of John, “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid” (John 24:27). The world’s veneer of prosperity and peace isn’t like the deep, unshakeable inner peace Jesus offers. Jesus’s peace isn’t reliant on a world gliding along perfectly–it rests in the King of an eternal kingdom. Scripture says that Jesus’s “rule is eternal—it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed” (Daniel 7:14).

When you follow Him, God will give you strength for wherever He leads you. Remember Jesus’s words: “Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). There is hope to be found in Jesus and in His unshakeable Kingdom. You can make it through today.
