So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18

 

“Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting,”[1] John Ruskin is credited with saying.

 

People are drawn to beauty. It’s an intrinsic part of us. “No matter what country we find ourselves in… we can appreciate the meaning of what it truly means to be alive by sensing the beauty around us…[2] The ‘sublime in nature’ is essentially the ‘nature of God’ made visible,” [3] explains painter Rick Delanty.

 

We long to interact with beauty because we were made to know its creator and to interact with our fascinating, beautiful God. The path to your most beautiful and fulfilling life is found by coming to know God’s humility, kindness, wisdom, and love.

 

There’s a process through which God wants to reveal His beauty to you and to change you to be more and more like Him. The Bible tells us that we do this by admitting our sin; it calls this process “removing the veil of sin” that’s keeping us from seeing Who God is and who we really are. Only then can we be transformed into new people that reflect God’s beauty. Scripture says, “all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

 

Ask God today to show you the beauty of Himself. God loves revealing Himself to all who ask!
