Girl in Myanmar Gets a New Future

You can have an impact on many more children around the world through Guidelines Groundwork ministries:

The country of Myanmar in Southeast Asia has a troubled history of military rule, violence, poverty, and natural disasters. Yet in the midst of the darkness, Guidelines ministry leaders Jacob and Sandar shine the light of God through Groundwork ministries.

Jacob and Sandar started the Bethel Children’s Home to provide orphans with a home, an education, and a family. They shower the children with the love of God and give them a new future that they would have never known.

Among the dozens of children at Bethel, six have been recognized as “outstanding students,” a status achieved in Myanmar’s education system. One of those children is an orphan girl named NIing, who came to the home two years ago.

As Jacob describes, “NIing lived a life that was horrible and full of misery as a young girl.” Because of her troubled past, she had many behavioral issues. There were multiple times where she wanted to give up and leave the home.

Yet Jacob and Sandar would not give up on her. They continued to love her, encourage her, and support her. Eventually she decided to accept Jesus as her savior, and her life began to change.

She was filled with hope. She began excelling in academics. And she began feeling like she had a home and a family to belong to.

And now, she is in the 8th grade and has a bright future ahead of her. All because Jacob and Sandar showed her the unconditional love of God, and they were able to do that because of your support.
